Definition of Accreditation Centre

An Accreditation Centre means a skills training institution or place of work recognised by the DSD. It offers candidates the Malaysians Skills Certification for participating and training in areas of specific levels of expertise based on NOSS.


There are five categories of Accreditation Centres

  • Public Accreditation Centre
  • Private Accreditation Centre
  • Industry Accreditation Centre
  • Association Accreditation Centre
  • Accreditation Centre for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

 

Programmes offered

The programmes offered are based on the established National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS).

 

Duration of Training

Minimum training period determined by DSD are as follows:

  • Level 1 t- 600 Hours
  • Level 1 & 2 t- 1200 hours (1 year)
  • Level 3 only - 1200 hours (1 year)
  • Level 1, 2 & 3 - 2400 hours (2 years) for NOSS fields beginning from Level 1
  • Level 2 - 600 hours for NOSS fields and but does not begin from Level 1
  • Level 2 & 3 - 1800 hours (1 1/2 years) for NOSS fields but does not begin from Level 1
  • Level 3 & DKM - 2400 hours (2 years) + 3 Month OJT
  • Level 2, Level 3 & DKM - 3600 hours (3 years) + 3 Month OJT
  • Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 & DKM - 3600 hours (3 years) + 3 Month OJT
  • Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, DKM & DLKM - 5400 hours (3 years) + 3 Months  OJT
  • DKM Only - 1200 Hour + 3 Month OJT for candidates who possess Level 3
  • DLKM Only - 1800 Hours + 3 Months OJT for trainees who possess DKM
