Learn and Work Assignment (LWA)

What is the LWA?

LWA is the abbreviation for Learn and Work Assignment (LWA) or LearningAssignment and Work Assignment. LWA is a combination of independent learning (Self-RelianceLearning) and tasks in the workplace. The approach to training is student-centred, while instructorsin industry and training institutions play the role of moderator, coach, facilitator and advisor. Various stages of independent learning are used depending on the difficulty level of the learning tasks and work assignments.

 

LWA was developed based on the level of difficulty of the learning tasks and work assignments. LWA was developed by instructors and trainers from both the industry and training institutions.

 

Content of Learn and Work Assignments (LWA)

The LWA document contains an overview of evaluationquestions, knowledge assessment criteria, skills assessment criteria and guides for apprentices, trainers and instructors at training institutions and the industry.
