What is PPT?
Recognition of Prior Achievement (RPA), or Pengiktirafan Pencapaian Terdahulu (PPT), is a method to recognize individuals who can demonstrate that their prior experience and achievements meet the competencies outlined in the National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS).
What is the objective of PPT?
To provide formal recognition for the competencies possessed by an individual, acquired through work experience and formal or informal training, by awarding the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM), Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM), or Malaysian Skills Advanced Diploma (DLKM).
Which fields can be certified through PPT?
All fields listed in the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) register are eligible for certification through this method, except for the following fields:

Who is eligible to apply?
This is open to individuals who possess the necessary skills, meet the required work experience duration in the relevant field, and fulfill the criteria outlined in the Guidelines for the Implementation of Malaysian Skills Certification via PPT, as well as other conditions specified by NOSS requirements. Applicants must also be able to produce valid evidence of competency.
How to apply for certification via this method?
PPT applications can be submitted at any time online through the MySPIKE system at www.myspike.my. Applicants must first perform a self-assessment within the system to determine if they meet the Standard requirements for the applied programme and to evaluate their existing competencies. Applicants are also required to upload the relevant documents as stipulated.
What are the fees and the payment method?
The fees charged are in accordance with the current rates and charges, specifically RM300 or RM500 depending on the application category. Payment for PPT applications can be made online via MySPIKE or through Money Order, Bank Draft, or Government Order (L.O.) made payable to the DIRECTOR GENERAL OF SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, with a validity period of at least three (3) months from the date the application is received.
