WSMP competition is a national level skills competition that has been organized annually that aims to increase competency and competitiveness among instructors and trainers in public and private skills institution and in industry. With this competition, instructors can compete to show the skills they possess and they can get the recognition by the government of Malaysia. Instructors will also receive exposure to world-class technology and related skills standard.

The WSMP competition is open to those with the following qualifications:

 Malaysian citizen

 Working as a skills instructor or trainer.

 Teaching and working experience in the competed skills area for not less than 4 years

 Get permission and support from own employer.

The categories of applicants who are not eligible to compete in the MySkills Competition are :

 Platinum and Gold medalists are not eligible to participate in upcoming competitions in the same skill area.

 Secretariat, question-making panel and panel of judges involved in the competition

Application Procedure

i. Applicants who are interested in participating in this competition need to apply through website www.dsd.gov.my.

ii. Applications that are incomplete and contain false information will not be entertained while entry fees will not be refunded.

iii. Any application that does not meet the stipulated conditions will be rejected.

iv. Applicants from the public skills training institution (ILKA)/ public colleges and universities (IPTA) must submit an application through the agency headquarters (private application will be rejected).

v. Applications must be approved by the head of the department / employer respectively.

vi. Participants need to pay a participation fee of RM100.00 at the time of application.

vii. Only participants registered in the system are eligible to participate in the competition.
