Administrative Instructions on the Cancellation of Applications by The Department of Skills Development for Accredited Centres that Cancel Visit After Issuance of The Letter of Assignment for The Assessment Panel Accreditation of Skills Programme (PPPPK)

Ref : JPK/700/5 Vol. 36 (53)
Date : 28 July 2016

ADMINISTRATIVE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE CANCELLATION OF APPLICATIONS BY THE DEPARTMENT OF SKILLS DEVELOPMENT FOR ACCREDITED CENTRES THAT CANCEL VISIT AFTER ISSUANCE OF THE LETTER OF ASSIGNMENT FOR THE ASSESSMENT PANEL ACCREDITATION OF SKILLS PROGRAMME (PPPPK)

Please be informed that the Department of Skills Development (JPK) often encounters situations where Skills Training Providers (PLK) or Accredited Centres (PB) cancels the accreditation assessment visit that has been agreed upon at the eleventh hour. Such occurrence complicates the implementation of the Malaysian Skills Certification System in accordance with the provisions of the National Skills Development Act 2006 (Act 652).

Therefore, JPK has decided that any cancellation of the Skills Programme Accreditation Assessment Visit by PLK or PB will not be allowed after the PPPPK Panel assignment letter has been issued.

Accordingly, the Department has decided that an application is considered void if PLK or PB cancels visit and the accreditation fee will not be refunded. A new application must be submitted together with a new fee and charge if the PLK or PB is still interested.

Effective Date

The cancellation of applications by JPK or PB that cancel visits after the issuance of the PPPPK panel assignment letter is put into effect for accreditation applications submitted starting 01 October 2016.

Thank you.
