Additional Requirement For Skills Accreditation Programme For Heating, Ventilation, And Air Conditioning (HVAC)- Domestic/ Commercial Refrigeration Via Malaysian Skills Certification System
This is to inform that Department has decided that skills training approach for “Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC)- Domestic/Commercial” at Accredited Centres must adhere to Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS) or Department of Environment has issued on requirement for a person who will handle refrigerant substance which may cause harmed to the environment to obtain a certificate Sijil Pentauliahan Juruteknik Servis in Refrigerant and Cooling Sector (RAC) under JAS.
Due to this, Department has decided that skills training approach for “Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC)- Domestic/Commercial” at Accredited Centres must adhere to the following requirement:
- Additional Requirement for Certification Personnel :
Verifier / Pegawai Penilai (PP), Internal Verifier / Pegawai Pengesah Dalaman (PPD) and External Verifier / Pegawai Pengesah Luaran (PPL) must have Service Technician Certificate of Competency (Sijil Pentauliahan Juruteknik Servis) in Refrigerant and Cooling Sector (RAC) under JAS.
- Application for Accreditation :
Application for new programme will be effective on 1st September 2018
Application for renew programme will be effective on 1st June 2019

Accreditation Guidance Programme 2018
This programme is to provide guidance and advice to skills Trianing Provider (STP) represenatative who are involved in the preparation of application documents for the skills programme accreditation based on the Code of Practice Skills Programme Accreditation (COPSPA). This programme will cover applications procedures, work processes, policies, criteria, standard and advice before STP submitting an application for accreditation program to the Development of Skills Development (DSD).

Application for SLDN RMKe-11 programme for June and September intake
Application for SLDN RMKe-11 programme is still open for June and September intake. Follow the link for online application http://www.dsd.gov.my/images/perkhidmatan/sldn/rmk11/IKLAN%202018.pdf. For June 2018 intake, online application must be submitted latest by 31 March 2018 and physical documents must be submitted to JPK Regional Office latest by 9th April 2018. For the previous session unsuccessful applications, reapplication is permitted. Only completed submissions will be taken into consideration.
